Ten Best Personality Traits
The best psychologists in history have been men. They are also the most influential philosophers.
Men are great at examining human behavior, and they do it
extremely well.
However, there’s a problem with this approach. A
philosopher named Hans Jurgen Habermas named ten personality traits he believed
to be more important than the average man (see list).
These traits are called “best” because they are considered
to be so good for success in life. In fact, if you were born to them, they
guarantee your career success.
The best are hard to measure, but there is no reason why
any person can’t be good with these traits.
On January 1, 2001, I began my investigation into what
makes a successful woman in today’s world.
I wanted to know whether or not being successful had
anything to do with being outstanding in some areas of life or just being
exceptional as an individual.
So I checked out the greatest female brains since then,
and that was when I learned that having all the best characteristics is far
more than simply being good at everything.
In the following list the traits mentioned with their
respective names and examples, in chronological order:
1) Self-Confidence
Self-confidence is one of the most important things you
can have because in today’s social media age, you might lose it over time. To
get back on track, self-confidence means believing in yourself, seeing yourself
as competent, strong and determined, and staying away from people who tell you
what you can’t do.
2) Discipline
Discipline is always going to be a critical factor in your
life because nobody wants to be held accountable. If you’re a perfectionist
this trait explains why you only want to see things done as perfectly as
possible. Being disciplined means having discipline.
3) Reliability
Reliability is basically your ability to function with
others. You must rely on your team members and other people to accomplish some
task or situation that involves some sort of commitment such as work or family
relationships. People need to depend upon you to complete the task. It is
because reliability is the ability to perform consistently within a timeframe
or otherwise.
4) Consistency
Constant improvement in your personal and professional
life doesn’t come overnight. As your career progresses, you should be able to
stay consistent in every area of life. Being consistent tells me that you love
the process and believe you will always succeed in whatever career you choose.
5) Time management
Time management plays critical role for people and
organizations because it allows for a better flow of information, resources and
supplies. Having time to plan your daily schedule and how to execute your plans
ensures you keep ahead of your deadlines.
6) Communication
Communication is important because without communication,
everything is lost. When communicating, whether through writing, talking to
others or doing social events, you will ensure you make everyone happy and
satisfied. Therefore, having good communication skills is paramount for success
and for living up to your potential as a leader and manager.
7) Endurance
The constant practice of physical exercise keeps your body
healthy, active and full of energy. Exercises build muscle mass and keep you
focused so that by the end of each week, you feel physically stronger and
stronger. This trait demonstrates you are a big fan of exercising and sticking
to a fitness routine daily.
8) Flexibility
Flexibility is a trait that shows leadership qualities.
While you’re dealing with obstacles and problems related to various aspects of
your life, you will always find ways to cope and change your course of action.
Flexibility is the capability to adjust to changes in circumstances without
getting frustrated or discouraged.
9) Innovation
Innovation means using what’s available at hand and coming
up with new ideas and solutions to make things happen so that it benefits both
the company and its shareholders. Innovative people like business leaders are
constantly looking to expand their market share and engage customers in
different businesses. Also, an innovative CEO will use technology to enhance
their sales process and encourage their workforce to embrace changes.
10) Creativity
Creativity also refers to the innovation of different
products in the current field. Leaders like Steve Jobs and Bill Gates
continuously generate new products while creating new markets. Creating new
innovations to solve the problems of your organization will help you achieve your
goals.
